Samantha Ruth Prabhu is back in the news—this time not merely for her on-screen activities but also for what seems to be a fresh update in her personal life.
The actress had posted a few snaps from the screening of her recent Telugu film Shubham, but what actually got social media abuzz was the attendance of her speculated partner, director Raj Nidimoru.
Released on May 9, Shubham is Samantha's latest production venture. The movie, directed by Praveen Kandregula, has a new cast of actors such as Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi, Shalini Kondepudi, and Vamshidhar Goud.
Samantha took to Instagram and posted scenes from the screening with a warm caption:
"Thanks for watching, feeling and celebrating #SUBHAM with us! Our very first step—driven by heart, madness and the conviction that new, fresh stories matter!. The journey has begun. What a start!"
But what really got fans' attention were her photos with Raj Nidimoru. Among them was a happy selfie with Raj and another spontaneous shot of the two in deep conversation. Such peeks have only fueled the dating rumors that have been circulating for months.
The buzz surrounding their romance picked up last month when Samantha shared a photo with the caption: "It's been a long road, but here we are. New beginnings." The post was widely speculated on social media, with many interpreting it as proof of a romance.
Rumours first began floating in February when Samantha posted photographs from the World Pickleball League. She happens to have a team called Chennai Super Champs, and in one of the pictures, she had been shown holding hands with Raj—a detail which was not lost to the ever-vigilant eyes of her fans.
For the unversed, Samantha was earlier married to actor Naga Chaitanya. The two had publicly disclosed their split in 2021. Post that, Chaitanya has now moved on and got married to actress Sobhita Dhulipala last December.
From a professional standpoint, Samantha was seen most recently in Kushi (2023) with Vijay Deverakonda. Meanwhile, Raj Nidimoru is half the critically acclaimed creator team Raj & DK, makers of hit series like The Family Man, Guns & Gulaabs, Farzi, as well as cult classics like Go Goa Gone.
Rumours or not, something is certain—Samantha appears to be taking new beginnings in both personal and professional life.
